Days 15 through 20!

Hi All!!

I thought since all of us work very hard during the week, I would combine days 15-20 for you to pick and choose the days you'd like to share with us...those days which are especially meaningful to you.

I'm so thankful for each of you and for sharing this little piece of your life with this group! I feel a real sense of closeness with each of you.

Don't forget to read previous postings...they all are very special! Blessings to each of you as you travel along this road to health, healing, and wholeness.

This last week's postings were especially special for me to read! I have been deeply moved by all of your experiences. I, like many of you, am more mindful of my giving and more intuitive of the feelings and needs of others around me.

In the past...I have busied myself doing "life" and looking back in retrospect, I am certain I've missed intense needs around me. The life lessons I'm learning as a result of this challenge are monumental and will forever change the dynamics of all of my relationships!

Thank-you so much for joining me as we learn together what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus to others around us!

Blessings to each of you!

Yesterday, the 7th, was a very special day when we honored two couples in our church family with a small gift and a dinner following the service. They are moving out of state and we are going to miss them so much. But we are happy for them as it is what they want to do and know that the move will be good for all of them. We now have a place to visit in South Carolina and Colorado ;0).

One way I have been giving this week is to be a more courteous driver. I look for ways I can be thoughtful to the cars around me...

This has had a 3-fold blessing. First, I have truly enjoyed my commutes to and from work so much more, I have found myself much less agitated with other drivers, and I'm sure they are appreciative as well.

I would love to develop this as a is too short to be stressed while driving...what a great way to give back to myself and others :)

Mom, our Sunday lunch was a special blessing for us as well...we got to eat with the "guests of honor!"

Hope you're having a wonderful week!

Yesterday, my dad was driving through Anderson on the way to northern Indiana for my brother. He had to stop in Anderson. He was going to be here by 8 AM, (It is a 4 hour trip from KY to here) so I decided to fix a goody bag for him. I fixed his favorite egg and biscuit sandwich, bought some little bottles of orange juice(another favorite of his) and added some other goodies in the bag. It turns out he had an accident that was his fault (no one hurt but the vehicles) in Cincinnati. My little gift was an encouragement for him. My dad has been making these trips for my brother for several years and this is the first time I have thought to do this!! Thanks to the 29 day gift challenge!!

What a precious gift. I know your dad thought so, too. More than the goodies was the caring thought behind it!

Here I am again, recording for yesterday...."always a day late and a dollar short" Anyway, Larry was sitting in the easy chair with the heating pad on his neck, watching the news on TV. For the past few days he has had a 'kink' type pain in the side of his neck.
I remembered the essential healing oils I had purchased at a seminar we went to several months ago..and took them out, found one called "pan away' and applied a few drops to both sides of his neck and massaged the areas. This morning he said his neck pain was gone and he slept well. A small task with big results!

Well, just plugging away here. The other week I gave encouraging words to a woman that had a foreclosure on her home.

This week I tried to be of service, but I am the one that got served. I got vertigo from a sinus infection I did not know I had. Vertigo is not pretty. my co workers were awesome with me...they called 911 got me on an ambulance to the er...another co-worker stopped by with a change of clothes. She and her husband gave me a ride home. I live almost an hour away from work! They were my angels. :)
